Fuziyeh SQ | Academic Project
Fuzieh Square, also known as Imam Hussein Square today, located in the heart of Tehran, boasts a rich and storied history. While it was one of Tehran's earliest squares, its function has changed significantly over the course of time. Drawing inspiration from its historical significance and merging it with the principles of ancient Iranian architecture and urban planning, I proposed a new design aligned with the principles of sustainable urban design. Through this effort, I created three-dimensional renderings of the proposed design.

Given the square's past as a recreational area and its previous association with three cinemas, the new square was named "Haft Honar," translating to "Seven Arts." All three cinemas were revitalized. The square was divided into eight sections, with each section dedicated to one of the seven arts. The eighth section, situated in the northwest, was connected to the adjacent old building. The central section of the square was designed with inspiration from the shape of old negatives, serving as a reminder of the preeminent role of the seventh art, cinema, in this square's history.

I hope this vision for Fozieh Square, now known as Haft Honar Square, captures the essence of its historical significance while embracing a modern and sustainable urban design.
